We’re glad you’ve found us.
This is a Mutual Aid group for people living in the areas of Roath, Plasnewydd, Cathays, Gabalfa and Heath in Cardiff, Wales, UK. We are a grassroots group of neighbours who want to help bring our local communities together during the Covid-19 pandemic. Our aim is to ensure that everyone has access to the support they need.
We do this through:
- Providing a safe online space where people can post and respond to offers of help
- Building a strong network of volunteers who are ready to help in the community
- Signposting and referring those who need specialist help to existing community care services
If you need help: If you’re feeling anxious, lonely, or in need of help, please reach out! We’re here to support you. Email firstname.lastname@example.org
If you’re in the area and would like to help:
Brilliant – thank you so much! Please fill in this form and an area co-ordinator will then be in touch with you about leafletting and volunteering in your area.
Staying safe: Please read our community safeguarding procedure.
DISCLAIMER: We are a grassroots group of neighbours, not a registered charity. While are working super hard to make our network a safe space, we do not claim responsibility for the actions of those in our volunteer network. If you need support and want to guarantee your own personal safety, then please get in touch with email@example.com and we can signpost you to local registered community support services.
Finally, one last thing: we are volunteers who are organising this group on top of busy lives. Some of us work, some study, and some have care and family responsibilities. Some do all three! Please keep this in mind if we’re slow to respond, and bear with us – we’d love to hear from you, and aim to respond to every message and request we get as soon as we can.
Stay safe and stay connected. Cariad mawr, Iona x
